Merchants Team Approach

Our underwriting teams combine the knowledge and experience of a group of underwriters. Merchants' teams have a deep understanding of surety and the people who use it. Merchants' agents benefit from the innovative ideas, the quality decision-making, superior underwriting and fast service that come with the team approach.

Jason began with Merchants as an intern in 1997. He holds a BA in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa, and rejoined Merchants as a contract underwriter after graduation in 1998. He is a member of surety associations in Michigan, Arizona, and Kentucky. Jason has obtained the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bond underwriting designation from the CPCU Society.
