Merchants Team Approach

Our underwriting teams combine the knowledge and experience of a group of underwriters. Merchants' teams have a deep understanding of surety and the people who use it. Merchants' agents benefit from the innovative ideas, the quality decision-making, superior underwriting and fast service that come with the team approach.

Kirk holds a BA in Accounting from Central College in Pella, Iowa. He worked for Norwest Financial before joining Merchants in 1999. He received the Distinguished Graduate Award, earning the CPCU Society's Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bond underwriting designations. Kirk is a member of surety associations in Wisconsin and Ohio.
