Merchants gathered donations for AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport to support the rescue during an extreme time of need. After a recent rescue of 32 dogs from a puppy mill, a number of dogs were exposed to canine brucellosis, a zoonotic disease that can transfer to people. While all dogs are being tested, the facility has been under quarantine. The rescue has taken precaution in order to prevent the spread of this disease which has increased their use of supplies. The Community Outreach Council and Merchants associates donated water, vinegar, towels, blankets, sanitizing wipes, paper towels, newspaper, disposable gloves and three box fans filling an entire pick-up truck to assist the rescue in its effort. Thank you to our associates for stepping up to support AHeinz57.
