"We are honored to receive this award from the AFP and proud that our company and associates' commitment to giving back is being recognized," said Chairman of the Board and President Larry Taylor. "We especially thank the Youth Homes of Mid-America for nominating Merchants for this prestigious award."
Merchants Bonding Company Foundation was established in 2008 and has been generously giving to many charitable organizations ever since. The company also created the Community Outreach Council (COC), an employee volunteer committee promoting community and charitable works; and the Shining Star Award to annually salute the outstanding charitable efforts of a Merchants’ associate. Merchants provides a Matching Gift Program to augment employee giving, a Volunteer Time Off Program to support their charitable works, and participation in the annual United Way campaign.
"The list of organizations we have been able to support has grown immensely with these company programs. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community and humbled to be a recipient of this award," said Taylor.
