Remembering Bill Warner, Sr.

Bill Warner, Sr. worked for Merchants Bonding Company from 1970 to 2000. He became President of Merchants in 1985 and Chairman of the Board in 1993. He passed away of cancer in June of 2000. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and supported Louisiana State University athletics ever since his enrollment in 1966. Bill loved Merchants, but his real passion was sports, specifically golf. Bill played on his high school golf team, qualified for and played in two National Amateur tournaments, was a medalist in the Iowa State Amateur, and was a past club champion in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was a member at the Wakonda Club for many years.

Supporting Puppy Jake Foundation

Founded in 2013, Puppy Jake Foundation (PJF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the physical and emotional well-being of wounded military veterans with the assistance of well-bred and professionally trained service dogs. Veterans may endure physical mobility impairments or invisible wounds like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Service dogs can assist veterans by performing tasks, improving mobility, and providing unconditional love. PJF also advocates for increased awareness and accessibility for those accompanied by a service dog in everyday situations. For more information about the Puppy Jake Foundation visit
