April 22, 2020

Merchants Bonding Company Foundation donated $1,000 to the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa’s Cookie Relief Fund. For every donation to the program, the Girl Scouts donates an equivalent amount in cookies to hometown heroes. Merchants donations going specifically to frontline medical workers.  The Cookie Relief Fund was launched in response to declined cookie sales due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When cookies are left unsold, summer camps, programming, troop finances and scholarships for low-income Girl Scouts take a hit.

“We have been inspired by the community response and desire to spread kindness. Merchants’ generosity ensures girls will not lose out on the life-changing experiences funded by the cookie program,” said Brenna Strawhacker, Girl Scouts of Iowa Donor Relations Manager.

During this uncertain time, Merchants is glad to contribute to Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa as well as to other organizations they are currently serving.
