March 26, 2020
Merchants Bonding Company Foundation is donating $25,000 to the Blank Children’s Hospital to help fund the completion of the STAR & Development Center, a new facility dedicated to serving children who have been victims of abuse, exposed to drugs, are in the foster care system, or need extra support to grow and thrive. The one-of-a-kind building opened its doors for the first time this week.
“During times of uncertainty, your support is especially felt,” said Alissa McKinney, Senior Director of Development at Unity Point, “It marks the start of a new beginning – something you made possible. Your gift is at work, helping kids thrive.”
The Foundation has a history of supporting Blank Children’s Hospital. In 2014, the Foundation donated $125,000 to purchase much-needed, highly specialized equipment for Blank’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
