Merchants Helps Stuff the Bus

Merchants Bonding Company associates donated new and gently-used children’s books to Stuff the Bus as part of United Way of Central Iowa’s Day of Action. Stuff the Bus is United Way’s annual effort to get children's books into the hands of kids who need them most. All books collected are distributed to United Way of Central Iowa’s funded partner programs, child care centers and in-home child care providers who serve kids from low-income households in our community.

“It’s been very important for us, as a company, to try and give back to our local communities in as many ways as we can,” says Bookkeeper and Co-Chair of Merchants’ Community Outreach Council Kim Phillips. “With projects like Stuff the Bus through United Way’s Day of Action, we’ve been able to do that.”

Merchants’ Community Outreach Council (COC) engages associates with our communities through volunteer opportunities and fundraising activities throughout the year. Merchants Bonding Company and the Merchants Bonding Company Foundation are committed to fostering a culture that encourages giving back.
