Merchants Named SBA Surety of the Year

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recognized Merchants Bonding Company as the 2022 Surety of the Year award winner, for Merchants' "commitment and significant contributions to fostering business growth and success."
Surety Guarantee Partners Awarded
Four awards are given out yearly to partners of the SBA Surety Guarantee program for what the program describes as their "exceptional work helping small business acquire surety bonds, which allows them to obtain federal, state, and private contracts." The total value of contracts awarded through the program for fiscal year 2022 was more than $2 billion. SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman commended the awardees' commitment to leveling the playing field for small businesses, and for helping to fuel economic growth and job creation.
Productive Partnership
Merchants' award is a recognition of the work being done through our Specialty Solutions division's ongoing partnership with Foundation Surety and Peter Gibbs, former head of the Surety Guarantee program.
