Merchants Wins DEI Workplace Excellence Award

Merchants Bonding Company was awarded the Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Workplace Excellence Award from the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes companies who exemplify an inclusive culture through their workforce, programs and employee development initiatives. 

“Merchants was proud to accept this award for our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts,” says Vice President of Human Resources Stacey Cale. “I’m excited to see not only what we continue to do, but how the West Des Moines community grows and expands their DEI efforts moving forward.”

Merchants is committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment that drives innovation, engagement, connection and ultimately results that benefit every associate and our communities. Since the development of its DEI task force last year, Merchants has implemented recruitment strategies to grow a more diverse team, educated associates on unconscious bias and inclusion, conducted pay equity studies and developed employee resource groups where associates can make deeper connections with one another.
