Record-Setting Continuing Education

Over 570 attendees from across the country tuned in to Merchants' Introduction to Commercial Surety webinar on October 8, 2020, which offered two hours of continuing education credit in approved states. Now in its third year, the course experienced record-setting attendance with over 150 more attendees over 2019.

The course covered a wide range of surety topics, highlighting the differences between surety and insurance, what differentiates a contract bond from a commercial bond, and indemnity agreements. In the second credit hour, the course dove in to rates, power of attorney, and bond reporting options.

The post-event survey indicated excellent results. Overall satisfaction rating was 4.7 out of 5. When asked, “After attending this event, are you more likely to choose Merchants for your surety needs?”, attendees replied with a 4.6 out of 5.
