An Un-Fore-Gettable Event!

The Merchants Bonding Company Foundation is proud to once again host the Bill Warner Sr Memorial Charity Golf Classic, an un-fore-gettable experience for everyone involved.

Registration is now open for this years event on Monday, Aug. 21, with proceeds benefitting EveryStep's Nest programs. 

Feathering the Nest 

The Nest programs provide critical items for new moms and babies like cribs, car-seats, formula, and diapers, necessities that can often be out of reach for struggling families. The program's unique 'learn and earn' model affords participants opportunities to accrue points through parenting classes and engaging in healthy behaviors. The points can then be used to purchase essentials like cribs, carseats, diapers and more. Proceeds from the Golf Classic will go toward 'feathering the nest', helping to purchase the essentials that can be life-saving for these families. The Nest program's goals closely align with the Foundation’s mission of enriching the lives of the children in the communities we serve.

Classic History

The biennial Golf Classic began in 2010 and in the six tournaments since, has raised more than $800,000 for Iowa charities. It began in memory of Bill Warner Sr., past president and chairman of Merchants Bonding Company and known leader in the surety industry. Surety professionals from across the U.S. travel to Des Moines and join local golfers in supporting our community. "We are thrilled with the support we have received from so many people for our efforts to support our community and celebrate Bill Sr.'s passion for life," said President Larry Taylor.
