Wielage Adds Insight to YURtern Internship Lunch ‘n Learn

Merchants Bonding Company’s Chief Marketing & Communications Officer Therese Wielage recently participated as a panelist for the YURtern West Des Moines College Internship Virtual Lunch ‘n Learn. The panel included working professionals from various industries providing tips on how to negotiate the best income outcome for a student’s very first job after college.

"Our hope is to answer any questions they may have while enticing these young professionals to seek employment in the West Des Moines area and engage in our community with their time and talents,” says Therese Wielage.

Merchants Bonding interns were able to participate in the YURtern event. Despite the challenges many companies have faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, Merchants has remained committed to growing talent for the future by continuing its 2020 summer internship program. Merchants’ program exposes students to a variety of opportunities within their field of study, as well as the company’s commitment to its purpose, vision, mission and values while learning about the surety industry.
